Meet Matthew Peck

Personal finance is my expertise and I can help. I'm an investment advisor and personal finance specialist, a fiduciary that i committed to acting in your best interest. You won't find stuffed suits or Wall Street jargon here. Just a commitment to building real relationships with people who want straightforward advice.

My Story

I've spent more than 25 years helping people make sense of their money. Since 2009, I've served clients as a financial advisor with Amicus Financial Advisors. Along the way, I found a calling in working with those who serve students, those that work in the West Texas oil patch and almost every type of professional there is.

My Perspective on Money

The work I do has both tangible and intangible elements. The tangible ones are easy to understand: a piece of property, a stock certificate, the money in your bank account.

The real complexity lies in the intangibles, the personal financial nuances you have to define, manage, and try to control. Your dreams and goals. Your worries. And most importantly, your beliefs about money.

My role is to help you manage risk, help you know what you don't know and keep you focused on what you want to accomplish. After all, money is only a means to an end.

Do You Need An Advisor?

For most people, the answer is likely yes. The people I work with don't have the time, the desire, or the inclination to manage all of their financial affairs themselves. They're busy people from all walks of life. Many of my clients already had a financial provider when we first met. Through our discovery process, we often uncovered one or more concerns:

  • They weren't receiving the attention they deserved.
  • They didn't know the total costs of their investments.
  • They were worried about recovering from past investment mistakes.
  • A service issue had cost them time, money and taxes.
  • A life-changing event occurred and they weren't comfortable with the advice they received.

Sound Familiar?

A big-name bank or financial institution doesn't always mean better service. Let's explore a better way.
