How Financial Professionals Are Compensated

It is important to understand how financial professionals are compensated for services. It is an irrefutable fact that the more you pay in commissions, mutual fund expenses, bid/ask spreads and fees, the less you make on your investments over time.

We typically do not charge any fees to prospective clients until they decide to become clients. We want folks to be comfortable with our approach and service offerings. We understand that there is a decision and thought process. In some instances, it has taken as many as three meetings and often includes a few phone calls to clarify points of our service before a client comes on board.

The ultimate goal is to empower our clients to make sound financial decisions and to provide advice-driven solutions. As a fiduciary, I am compensated directly by my clients for planning and investment management services. Our view is that all conflicts of interest should be managed, discussed and disclosed.
